PORPHYRY

Porphyry is fine grained igneous rock (Volcanic – formed from molten materials) of which may have crystals scattered throughout. Porphyry is lighter in texture and coloured with different flashes and stains on the surface. This will depend on the area of extraction. Red, brown and grey flashing is from soils. Black is from bush fires, etc.
